Other AbstractThe invention relates to a Q-band partition board type orthogonal-mode coupler, which is of a broadband partition board and branch combined type, has center frequency of 40 GHz and relative bandwidth of 50%, and is applied to a radio telescope Q-band receiver system. The orthogonal-mode coupler is composed of a partition board-branch connector, a Y-shaped connector, a first n-shaped elbow, a second n-shaped elbow, a first side wall branch port, a second side wall branch port, a partition board, metal pins, matching nails, a square matrix transition piece, a first 90-degree elbow, a second 90-degree elbow, an impedance transformation section and an H-plane elbow, wherein the partition board-branch connector is used for separating two orthogonal polarization signals, the Y-shaped connector is used for synthesizing two paths of horizontal polarization signals output by the partition board-branch connector into one path of signal, and the n-shaped elbows are used for connecting the partition board-branch connector and the Y-shaped connector. The actual measurement results of reflection loss and isolation degree of the Q-band partition board type orthogonal-mode coupler approximately agree with the simulation results, thereby being capable of satisfying the needs of radio astronomical observation.
