Abstract | 使用RXTE卫星对黑洞X射线双星XTE J1859+226在1999—2000年持续166天的整个爆发期间的观测数据,我们系统地研究了该源的交叉相关性和时间延迟,并进一步研究了这些性质随能谱态的演化情况。我们的研究表明: 硬、软X射线的反相关和正相关及其分别对应的硬时间延迟与软时间延迟只在亮度较高的爆发的前100天被观测到,因此交叉相关性可能与高亮度有关。进一步的研究表明,硬、软X射线之间的交叉相关性与能谱态之间也存在一定的相关性:在硬态、硬中间态、软中间态、软态等每个能谱态都发现了正相关,而反相关只在硬中间态和软中间态被发现。反相关硬时间延迟只在软中间态被发现,反相关软时间延迟在硬中间态和软中间态中被发现。此外,黑洞X射线双星XTE J1859+22中反相关硬时间延迟和软时间延迟在所有观测号中所占的比例与中子星低质量X射线双星中是不同的。迄今为止,在中子星低质量X 射线双星的每个能谱态都发现了反相关,而在黑洞X射线双星的软态没有观测到反相关,可能是因为中子星低质量X射线双星中的软种子光子来自吸积盘和中子星表面,而黑洞X射线双星中的软种子光子只有吸积盘辐射这一个来源。我们还发现在XTE J1859+226中的观测到的反相关时间延迟和其它黑洞X射 线双星及中子星低质量X射线双星中的反相关时间延迟的时标长度是相似的。因此我们认为在黑洞X射线双星中发现的反相关软时间延迟与中子星低质量X 射线双星中的反相关软时间延迟都起源于吸积盘中的扰动。 |
Other Abstract | With Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer (RXTE) data, we systematically study the cross-correlation and time lag of black hole X-ray binary (BHXB) XTE J1859+226 in detail during its entire 1999—2000 outburst that lasted for 166 days, and we also study the evolution of cross-correlation and time lag along with the spectral states. Our research shows that anti-correlations and positive correlations and their respective soft and hard X-ray lags between the soft and hard X-rays are only detected in the first 100 days of the outburst when the luminosity is high. This suggests that the cross¬-correlations may be related to high luminosity. The further research shows that the cross-correlations between the soft and hard X-rays are related to the spectral states. Positive correlations are detected in every state of XTE J1859+226, viz., hard state, hard-intermediate state (HIMS), soft-intermediate state (SIMS) and soft state. Howev¬er, anti-correlations are only detected in HIMS and SIMS, anti-correlated hard lags are only detected in SIMS, while anti-correlated soft lags are detected in both HIMS and SIMS. Moreover, the ratio of the observations with anti-correlated soft lags to hard lags detected in XTE J1859+226 is significantly different from that in neutron star low-mass X-ray binaries (NS LMXBs). So far, anti-correlations are never detected in the soft state of BHXBs but detected in every branch or state of NS LMXBs. This may be due to the origin of soft seed photons in BHXBs is confined to the accretion disk and, for NS LMXBs, from both accretion disk and the surface of the NS. We notice that the timescale of anti-correlated time lags detected in XTE J1859+226 is similar with that of other BHXBs and NS LMXBs. Therefore, we suggest that anti-correlated soft lag detected in BHXB may result from fluctuation in the accretion disk as well as NSLMXB. |
