AbstractIt is a challenging problem to constrain the equation of state of dense matter in neutron stars. We are going to introduce our recent works related with equation of state, including dependence of pulsar death line on equation of state [1], new equations of state for postmerger supramassive quark stars [2] and the effect of differential rotation on the spin evolution of neutron stars and strange stars [3]. The results show that measuring the macroscopic properties of neutron stars offers the most direct and powerful probe of the equation of state of neutron stars.
