Abstract | The characteristics of the radio telescope servo system are vulnerable to the effects of wearing, aging and thermal deformations, which cause plant parametric uncertainties. In this paper, the performances of conventional proportional-integral-derivative (PID), Linear Quadratic Gauss (LQG), linear active disturbance rejection control (LADRC) and mixed-sensitivity H-infinity (\mathrm {H}-{-}\mathrm {i}\mathrm {n}\text{f}) for radio telescope servo system are investigated. The control algorithms are analyzed quantitatively from rising time, overshoot, settling time and the integral of time multiplied absolute value of error (ITAE) in MATLAB. Simulation results show that mixed sensitivity H-inf is the best choice under plant model known premise for its minimum performance indexes. While LADRC ranks the second as a suboptimal choice and can maintain robust performance without requiring comprehensive information of plant model. PID has a worse property than the other three algorithms. Our results are important reference for accurate servo control of radio telescope. 2019 IEEE. |
