Other AbstractFast radio bursts (FRBs) are short duration, high brightness radio bursts, with their physical mechanism not being fully understood. This thesis mainly introduces the related work of fast radio bursts search carried out by the author during his master’s degree, including the construction and testing of the pipeline and the observation and search projects. The author built an off-line fast radio burst search pipeline based on the Nanshan 26m radio telescope. To obtain the efficiency of the pipeline, 5000 simulated fast radio bursts were injected into the observational data and performed search tests using the pipeline. The results of the injected search test for simulated fast radio bursts show that the pipeline can recover almost all (≳90%) with signal-to-noise ratios (SNR) greater than 15, and the recovery rate remains acceptable for simulated fast radio bursts with injected SNRs between 10 and 15 (≳80%), with the recovery rate showing relations with SNR, pulse width and dispersion measure(DM). Furthermore, the author has carried out some projects to search for fast radio bursts. Between 2 June and 20 July 2021, the Nanshan 26m radio telescope observed FRB 20201124A, a total of 104.5 hours of high time resolution data were collected. No bursts of FRB 20201124A were detected during this time, and the possible reasons for the lack of detection are that the observation time was in an inactive window for the source, or that the intensity of the burst was below the lower sensitivity limit of the Nanshan 26 m radio telescope during this period. The Nanshan 26m radio telescope observed the active period of FRB 20201124A in February and March 2022, and successfully detected the bright single pulses, which verified the reliability of the equipment and search pipeline. Nanshan 26 m radio telescope also observed the magnetar XTE J1810−197. Analysis of the nature of the bright single pulses of the magnetar, gave the distribution of the widths and peak flux density and the quasi periodic nature of the bright single pulses. In addition to observing and searching for known target sources, the Nanshan 26m radio telescope has also searched the 30 square degree sky area of the galactic plane, but no significant celestial emission were detected.
