Abstract | 本文首先采用Lorimer等人提出的脉冲星主要参数模型,根据Parkes多波束巡天与Parkes高银纬巡天发现的1059颗正常脉冲星和27颗毫秒脉冲星的实际情况,使用Monte Carlo方法,模拟得到脉冲星在整个银河系中分布的样本;然后,对该模拟样本,通过设定射电望远镜各观测参数,进行虚拟探测,比较研究了一台虚拟的处于乌鲁木齐地理纬度上的110 m口径射电望远镜与美国Green Bank天文台口径为100 m射电望远镜(GBT)对脉冲星巡天观测方面的能力.特别分析了观测波段、积分时间、消色散终端参数、巡天天区等方面对巡天观测产生的影响,讨论了观测参数的优化选择问题.本研究结果显示,在共同可观测天区,在纬度42°处的110m口径射电望远镜搜寻脉冲星的能力比GBT的高约12%;该望远镜在银纬为|b|<15°和银经为-60° |
Other Abstract | Abstract: Parkes multi-beam pulsar survey has discovered 1059 normal pulsars and 27 millisecond pulsars. In this paper, we firstly constructed samples of pulsars distributed in Galactic by using Monte Carlo method according to the actual distribution and the pulsar parameter model which proposed by Lorimer et al (2006). Then, we carry out simulation of the observations by setting the observing parameters for a 110m radio telescope(X110m) located near the Urumqi to study the performance of it in pulsar observations, and comparing that with GBT. The influence of the observing band, observation time, de-dispersion terminal parameters and survey region to the observing ability are investigated. The optimization of configuration of pulsar observing system is discussed. The results show that, in common observable sky, pulsar search capability of X110m is about 12% higher than that of GBT.
