AbstractThe larger the aperture of the radio telescope and the higher the operating frequency band, the more serious the observation performance will be affected by the environmental wind load. Optimizing the wind field environment of the site is one of the important tasks to ensure the stable operation of high-performance telescopes. Based on the analysis of the geomorphology and wind condition of the site for the Qitai 110 m Radio Telescope(QTT), it is proposed to use the landform of the valley mouth of the site as the research object to establish a simplified geographical model of wind field simulation, and wind field simulation is carried out under three conditions of no wind resistance measures, windbreak wall and windbreak net at the valley mouth. Based on the simulation results, both the windbreak wall and the windbreak net can effectively reduce the wind speed at the antenna position. In terms of wind speed reduction value, the wind speed reduced by the windbreak wall is slightly greater than that of the windbreak net, but the turbulence caused by the windbreak is also stronger. Through this research, it can provide a preliminary reference for wind resistance design of antenna site, and also provide a foundation for further research.
